Cordys is leading a set of emerging vendors in Cloud Orchestration
Platform as a Service with BPM and Cloud technology
Putten, The Netherlands, 11 February 2010 – Cordys today announced that independent research company Forrester reports that Cordys has a leading position among the emerging vendors providing cloud orchestration.
The Cordys Business Operations Platform enables organizations to continuously improve their business operations and increase the speed of change. The unique combination of BPMS and cloud technology in the Cordys platform complements existing enterprise software but at the same time it adds agility to business operations.
According to the independent report, “Market Overview: The Middleware Software Market, 2009, “The middleware software market went through a sequence of paradigm changes in the past three decades […]. An overview of the middleware software market must look beyond the various subcategories of middleware such as complex event processing (CEP) or business process management (BPM)”.
“Cloud orchestration is the latest challenge for middleware software”, continued the report. “Cordys is leading a set of emerging vendors providing cloud orchestration […].Vendors like Cordys complement these scenarios with business process modeling and execution capabilities.”
Cloud computing is changing the IT landscape in a fast pace but most organizations will never move their entire infrastructure to the cloud. Enterprise software systems will remain in the legacy on-premise environment. The challenge for these companies is to integrate their legacy systems with the agile and collaborative business services and applications available in the cloud and to increase the speed of change and innovation.
Jan Baan, Cordys CEO commented: “The quick growth of cloud computing and the increasing availability of cloud services requires BPM platforms to orchestrate data and business process fragments out of the cloud together with heterogeneous systems and processes inside of the enterprise.”
“Cordys wants to lead in this process-centric cloud orchestration”, added Jan Baan, “and we are very happy that Forrester recognizes our leading position in this area.”
