Verizon ondersteunt het Australische Ministerie van Defensie bij het inrichten van de communicatielijnen. Verizon zal de afdelingen voorzien van volledig beheerde, duale internetpoorten, die professionele ondersteuning bieden aan een afdeling van 110.000 werknemers, andere overheidsinstellingen, industriële partners en het grote publiek.
De oplossing van Verizon biedt de afdeling een gestroomlijnde en geoptimaliseerde internetomgeving met verbeterd inzicht in het gebruik en de kosten. Het systeem heeft de flexibiliteit om snel nieuwe functionaliteit en uitbreiding te kunnen verzorgen en voldoet aan de gestelde best-practice criteria. Daarnaast wordt de beschikbaarheid en de veiligheid van het systeem verder gewaarborgd door elke poort onder te brengen in een aparte, beveiligde, geografisch verspreide Verizon-datacenter.

Verizon to Bolster Lines of Communication for
Australian Department of Defense
CANBERRA, Australia – A secure Internet environment is vital for any government organization, especially those charged with protecting national interests. So when the Australian Department of Defense needed to upgrade its communications capabilities, it chose a secure, high-speed networking solution from Verizon.
