Amersfoort, 16 december 2009 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, maakt vandaag de beschikbaarheid bekend van de Virtualization Specialist Status voor zijn bestaande EMEA-partners. Door de uitbreiding van Red Hat’s virtualisatie-expertise naar het bredere partnernetwerk kunnen klanten profiteren van lagere hardwarekosten, operationele kosten en verbeterde flexibiliteit.
De Red Hat EMEA-partnergemeenschap ondersteunt reeds de Virtualization Specialization. Verschillende partners waaronder Redpill Linpro en Kelway grijpen de mogelijkheid aan om Red Hat virtualisatie-experts te worden.
Per Andreas Buer, Business Area Manager for Infrastructure bij Redpill Linpro, een Red Hat Virtualization Specialist in de Noordse regio zegt: “Als eeuwenoude Red Hat-partner blijven we continu ontwikkelen en innoveren. De Virtualisation Specialization is beschikbaar voor partners die hebben bewezen expertise te bezitten in het Red Hat virtualisatie-aanbod op zowel sales als technisch niveau. De eisen voor partners die een accredidatie willen ontvangen, zijn het leveren van twee klantreferenties voor implementatiediensten op basis van Red Hat virtualisatieproducten; implementatie ervaring met andere virtualisatie-producten en -omgevingen; aanwezigheid van twee Red Hat Certified Virtualization Administrators (RHCVA) en twee Red Hat Certified Virtualization Salespersons (RHCVSP) binnen de organisatie.
“Als een geaccrediteerde Virtualization Specialist hebben wij toegang tot hulpmiddelen en ondersteuning van Red Hat, inclusief marketingmaterialen, hulp van lokale experts en nieuwe zakelijke kansen”, zegt Graham Layton, Vendor Relationship Manager bij Kelway, een Value-Added Reseller in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. “In onze business betaat steeds meer interesse in virtualisatie, Red Hat ondersteunt ons deze kansen te benutten. ”
Het Virtualization Specialist partnerprogramma bouwt voort op de aankondiging in november dit jaar toen de beschikbaarheid van Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization voor Servers werd aangekondigd, inclusief een standalone hypervisor gebaseerd op KVM-technologie en server virtualisatie managementtools.
