Citrix EdgeSight 4.2 Gives IT Enhanced Visibility into the Performance of Any Application
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — October 16, 2006 — Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, announced a new version of its Citrix EdgeSight™ application performance monitoring product line. Built upon the technologies gained from the company’s May 2006 acquisition of Reflectent Software, the new Citrix EdgeSight solutions provide enterprises with the ability to monitor performance in real-time across all applications and users regardless of connection method, application type or application delivery technology.
The new releases are available as Citrix EdgeSight 4.2 for Endpoints, which monitors the performance of any application, and Citrix EdgeSight 4.2 for Presentation Server, which provides additional visibility into applications delivered by Citrix Presentation Server™. In addition, Citrix is also announcing that the EdgeSight product line is now available through its extensive channel network of about 5,000 channel partners in more than 100 countries. Authorized resellers can now deliver the EdgeSight solutions to their customers addressing critical business challenges in ensuring application performance.

Citrix EdgeSight provides a comprehensive set of solutions that measures the performance of web applications delivered by Citrix® NetScaler® as well as client-server applications delivered by Presentation Server enabling proactive performance management and providing detailed diagnostic capabilities for rapid problem resolution.

EdgeSight for Presentation Server
The EdgeSight for Presentation Server solution delivers comprehensive, end-to-end performance management designed specifically for applications delivered by Presentation Server. The solution provides both session-level visibility for real-time alerting and problem resolution, and server-centric analysis for performance and capacity management. Its capabilities include:
- Monitor and measure actual end-user experience — Presentation Server administrators have real-time visibility to session-level performance and can address potential performance issues before users are impacted.
- Diagnose application performance problems in real time — The support organization can immediately locate the applicable server and analyze highly detailed session-level data to isolate and resolve performance problems.
- Analyze system resources for improved capacity management — System planners can understand and trend Presentation Server resource consumption based on the number of active user sessions and applications on each server to ensure future capacity requirements are met.
