An award-winning business development specialist, van Zijl is a noted expert in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. At WCC, his role will be to oversee the Consultancy and Projects group, and ensure the effective implementation of the WCC Smart Search & Match technology at customer sites. Before joining WCC, van Zijl served as director of Consulting Services in the EMEA North region for EDS International. He has over 30 years experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) arena and has worked for many large companies in the IT, telecommunications and financial industries. van Zijl has also held several senior business development and consultancy management positions with large system integrators such as ATOS Origin, KPN Telecom, Getronics and EDS.
Kees van Zijl is an internationally-acclaimed expert on using intellectual capital and knowledge management principles to speed up cost reduction and time-to-market programs. He has been presented awards in this area by prestigious international publications, such as The Economist and The Financial Times.
