Oracle today announced the general availability of Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g, a comprehensive suite of collaboration products that offers robust functionality for businesses to better manage and deliver content and communications throughout the enterprise. Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g adds compelling enhancements to Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Content Services, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Real-Time Collaboration and Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Unified Messaging, and introduces new features with Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Workspaces.
Built on Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Application Server 10g, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g is the first collaboration offering in the market to support seamless management of all structured and unstructured enterprise information on a single architecture. As a member of the Oracle Fusion Middleware family of products, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g is designed for seamless integration into business applications and processes to drive greater levels of organizational efficiency. Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Real-Time Collaboration now offers instant messaging, voice chat and presence in addition to enhanced web conferencing capabilities. With Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Real-Time Collaboration, users can instantly locate individuals and groups across an enterprise and communicate in real-time, while seamlessly transitioning from instant message to voice chat or to a Web conference. Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Unified Messaging provides a unified platform for managing email, voicemail and fax messages in the highly scalable and reliable Oracle Database 10g. Enhanced features of Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Unified Messaging include the new Oracle Web Access, which brings together a user-friendly design with rich features to offer a desktop-like user experience in a browser. By supporting standards like the Push-IMAP protocol, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Unified Messaging enables the delivery of emails to a variety of wireless devices over public networks, reducing the cost of deploying this solution.
Availability, Packaging and Pricing
Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g, comprised of Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Content Services, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Real-Time Collaboration and Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Unified Messaging, is available for $60 per user. Licenses for each of the three individual products are available for $45 per user. Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Records Management is an add-on option for Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g or Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g Content Services, for an additional $100 per user in the enterprise.
