Getronics today announced, it has launched a new service to deliver a future proof workspace that can be made current at any time. The future proof workspace helps organisations to keep pace with future technology developments for the core ICT on which their knowledge workers depend. The offer launched today is the result of a joint effort Getronics and PinkRoccade in the Netherlands made immediately after the start of their integration and demonstrates the new business opportunities the synergy can provide. The new service has equal benefits for both larger and mid-range companies or organisations, employing between 1,000 and 5,000 knowledge workers.
Chairman and CEO Klaas Wagenaar stated: “Taking the future proof workspace to market, shows how the combined strength of the two operations is being converted into value for the markets which we serve. The efficiency and precision with which integration happens in the period immediately after a merger or acquisition is critical, and I am pleased with the integration results achieved in just eight weeks”.
Today this new proposition is announced at TechnoPlaza, the Getronics PinkRoccade showcase for the future workspace located in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. The future proof workspace will be available to clients across EMEA, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
With the offer, Getronics PinkRoccade combines the strengths of PinkRoccade in establishing practical enterprise IT architectures with the strengths of Getronics in innovative and highly cost-efficient service delivery.
Perhaps the most important characteristic of the offer according to Wagenaar is its approach to pricing, “Clear and transparent pricing has traditionally been exclusive for those who purchase IT services on an enterprise scale. With our future proof workspace we provide a new and expeptional degree of clarity for mid-range companies and organisations so their management is able to completely understand the costs when constructing and supporting the ideal working environment”.
The future proof workspace recognises three fases: the design of a basic architecture, implementation of workstations, and managed services of the ICT environment. A core workplace has been developed as a reference, consisting amongst others of Office, e-mail, internet and printer facilities. This core workplace is available worldwide and can be expanded with modules such as Enhanced Security and Voice over IP. Unique to the future proof workspace is that the reference architecture has been developed in such a way that management can be achieved efficiently and new technologies can be rapidly implemented.
The reference architecture is Microsoft-based and has been designed to enable faster automatic migrations. “The new workspace service Getronics offers is future proof because it can be made current any time. Thanks to its modular building blocks and the combination of a reference architecture with a manageable workplace it can uses the latest innovations of the Microsoft platform, says Michel van der Bel, General Manager Microsoft The Netherlands.”
