Dynamic Workplaces
ilionX is proud to present its Lotus Notes and Domino 6.5 ready ‘Domino Portal’ concept. This is a Lotus Domino based and Lotus Instant Messaging enabled portal solution for browser and Lotus Notes clients. The Lotus Domino portal can function very well as a corporate dynamic workplace incorporated in the Lotus Notes 6.5 client. Corporate information can be locked down to the client while giving users and administrators the ability to build a contextual environment for a business group and giving a quick access to all essential information for daily work.
The Lotus Domino portal offers customers full fledged portal capabilities based on a Domino environment. This way existing or new Lotus Domino databases and also other web resources can be transparently offered to the user community in a customizable portal. The solution is focused on SMB customers but is scalable and flexible enough to be implemented in a larger corporate environment.
ilionX already has a number of Lotus Instant Messaging enabled applications available like news, discussion, project and employee self service applications that can be offered in a portlet and/or full screen.
ilionX and IBM working side-by-side
ilionX has been heavily involved in the development and beta testing of the new IBM programs for Lotus Notes/Domino 6 and 6.5. During the beta stages of Domino 6, IBM requested ilionX to join the Vanguard program for beta testing and performs as the official launch partner in the Netherlands. Also, an ilionX consultant traveled to the IBM headquarters in Cambridge to work on the redbook "Upgrading to Lotus Notes and Domino 6".
