NS600 Network Server as part of its comprehensive offering of EMC networked storage systems and software. The addition of EMC's mid-tier network attached storage (NAS) system provides Fujitsu Siemens Computers customers with a high availability NAS solution with leading price/performance.
The EMC Celerra NS600, introduced in December 2002, combines the enterprise NAS features of EMC's Celerra with the high availability and cost advantages of EMC CLARiiON® storage systems in a single integrated package. Fujitsu Siemens Computers will offer configurations for either high availability or maximum performance. The Celerra NS600 can convert from either mode as customer needs evolve. When configured for maximum performance, the NS600 more than doubles the I/Os per second of comparable NAS solutions. When operating in high availability mode, the NS600 is priced at nearly half that of comparable NAS solutions, while maintaining superior performance.
