12 February 2003 - Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), a leader in enterprise infrastructure software and services, today announced that it now has more than 44.3 million users of the CitrixÒ MetaFrameÒ software.
In 2002, over 2.8 million licenses were activated to use Citrix software, representing over 11 million new users. Of that 2.8 million, the company said about one-third of those represent activations from new customers with the remaining two-thirds coming from existing companies expanding their user base.

Citrix continued in 2002 to expand its customer base into key vertical industries including financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, government, and education. Financial services represented the largest customer segment, followed by government, healthcare, and manufacturing.
· In financial services, Citrix software is now used by nine of the top 10 U.S. banks and nine of the top 10 U.S. insurance companies including: Bank of America, Citigroup, Fannie Mae, Goldman Sachs, MetLife, State Farm and others.
· In government, Citrix software is now used by over 200 U.S. federal agencies including United States Navy, United States Marine Corp., United States Army, United States Air Force, United States General Services Administration, United States Department of Transportation, National Business Centre, National Institute of Health, and Washington State Department of Social Health Services, among others.
· In healthcare, Citrix software is now used by nine of the top 10 U.S. pharmaceutical companies and eight of the top 10 global healthcare organisations including: Abbott Laboratories, Caremark Rx, Eli Lilly, Health Net, Healthsouth, Humana, McKesson, Oxford Health Plans, PacifiCare Health Systems, Pharmacia, United Health Group, WellPoint Health Networks and others.
· In manufacturing, Citrix software is now used by 17 of the top 20 automotive manufacturers, 22 of the top 25 chemical manufacturers, 23 of the top 30 consumer packaged goods manufacturers, and 27 of the top 30 high-technology manufacturers including: Boeing, Delphi Automotive Systems, Dow Chemical, DuPont, Ford, General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Lucent, Motorola, Pepsico, Pfizer, Philip Morris, Phillips Petroleum, Procter & Gamble, United Technologies and others.
