SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 13 -- Network Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET), a
leading provider of network security and availability solutions, today
announced that William Kerrigan has been named senior vice president of
the new McAfee Consumer division. In this role, Kerrigan will manage the
worldwide McAfee consumer business, including sales, product management
and product marketing.

markets," said Art Matin, president of the McAfee Security division of
Network Associates. "Bill's sales and management expertise will be

Kerrigan joins Network Associates with over 24 years of sales and
management experience. Prior to joining the company, Kerrigan was one of
the founders of Rebar LLC, a private operating and holding company. At
Rebar, he served in various positions including chief executive officer of
Shaman Corporation, senior vice president of sales, marketing and
technology services for Corporate Software North America, and general
manager of Rebar, where he evaluated new business opportunities.
Prior to Rebar, Bill spent 19 years with IBM Corporation in various sales
and senior management positions including director of IBM Global Services
for healthcare solutions, business unit executive for Chicago consulting
and services, and branch manager in South Bend, Indiana. In these roles,
Kerrigan was responsible for designing and implementing sales strategies,
client strategies and services solutions. Kerrigan also spent ten years in
sales and sales management with IBM.
Kerrigan hold a bachelor of science degree in economics from Miami
University.
