Latest figures released by Panda Software have revealed a second-quarter growth of 63 percent compared with the same period in 2001. The Benelux subsidiary recorded a spectacular 425 percent increase in sales over last year period.
Results for Internet sales have been equally impressive. This year’s drive by the company to develop and promote e-commerce has begun to reap rewards, with first-quarter e-sales up over 500 percent from last year.
12 years of relentless growth
When Panda Software first began some twelve years ago, it aimed to become the world’s leading developer of antivirus software. Today, the company is among the top antivirus producers, confirmed by the numerous awards and quality certifications received from leading international IT security organizations.
With offices in more than 50 countries, Panda’s international expansion strategy has been a key factor in the company’s success. This last quarter has also seen Panda close major new agreements with firms like Packard Bell, HP and LG, and the company is now an active member of the Citrix Business Alliance.
By thinking globally and acting locally, Panda Software has seen its sales turnover increase eightfold over the last five years and expects to return record results again this year. These achievements are largely fuelled by a range of innovative solutions, available in more than 20 languages and backed by Panda’s pioneering 24 hour, all year round tech support services, offering expert advice in local languages.

According to Hernandez, "Our results are a reflection of our success in meeting the demands of all types of clients with global solutions localized for each market.”
In line with this philosophy, the company has developed specific solutions for each sector of the market, including Panda Antivirus Titanium, an ‘install and forget’ home-user solution, Panda Antivirus Platinum, designed for small businesses and professionals, and Panda Antivirus Small Business Edition for SMEs. This year has also witnessed the launch of the company’s powerful solutions for even the largest corporations Panda Antivirus Enterprise Suite and Panda PerimeterScan.
“Since the early days, we have constantly been breaking new ground in IT technology and we shall continue to do so, not just this year, but long into the future.
