LONDON, August 1, 2002 - IDC today announced that a keynote presentation on the evolution of management by Peter Drucker, will feature on day one of IDC's European IT Forum. Drucker, dubbed "the world's foremost pioneer of management theory," by US President George W. Bush, was recently selected for the prestigious Medal of Freedom award by the White House.
This year's conference, themed Getting Ready for the IT Market Rebound: The Next Wave, will be held on the 16 and 17 September 2002 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. This prestigious, two-day event focuses on how companies can prepare now for the eventual IT market rebound. In addition to Drucker, this year's forum will draw several top-level U.S. and international executives and experts from the technology and telecommunications industries to talk about new economic landscapes, technology solutions and strategies for IT investments.

Specialized in both top management organization and economic and business policy, he is a consultant to third sector, human services institutions, government and business throughout the world. Serving on boards of nonprofit institutions such as universities, research institutes, community service organizations and museums, he is Honorary Chairman of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Non-profit Management, which helps nonprofits attain excellence and helps people find meaning through service to others.
