26 July 2002 - Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), a global leader in virtual workplace software and services, today announced that it has launched the “Look Smart, Act Smarter!” contest to recognise individuals who have participated in Citrix® training courses or those who hold Citrix certifications. Contestants are asked to submit interesting anecdotes about how the Citrix training and certification program has enabled them to hone their IT skills and successfully utilise their qualifications for individual or corporate benefit. “Our customers tell us that Citrix training and certifications have not only increased their own job security and professional growth, but also helped their companies save time and valuable IT dollars,” said Carol Gusso, director of worldwide education for Citrix. “Hearing about real-world achievements is our ultimate reward. This contest will give us a formal way to recognise the individuals and companies who have invested in Citrix technical training.”
To enter, each Citrix trained or certified individual must complete the required information on the contest entry form located online at www.trainingspotlight.com. In 300 words or less, contestants are encouraged to explain how being trained or certified in Citrix technology has made them “look smart and act smarter,” or how it has benefited their company. Each entry will be judged by a committee designated by the Citrix Education Department.
The first and second prizewinners of the Look Smart, Act Smarter! Contest will receive a Blackberry Internet Addition Wireless Handheld unit (for those contestants in the United States and Canada) or a Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC (for those in Europe and Asia Pacific) as recognition for their successes.
