26 July, 2002 - Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), a global leader in virtual workplace software and services, today announced the launch of two new channel initiatives: the Citrix® Global 2000 Programme and the Value-Add Awards. The new initiative is designed to support Citrix Solutions Network™ (CSN) partners working with Global 2000 companies that are looking to deploy Citrix MetaFrame® and Citrix NFuse® Elite virtual workplace solutions.
CSN partners that meet the acceptance criteria of the Global 2000 Programme will benefit from more flexible licensing and improved pricing terms, determined by the size of the engagement and the upfront license order. Value-Add Awards allow all CSN partners to apply for a cash award when they demonstrate Value-Added selling, such as running a pilot program or proof of concept, or providing a systems or application requirements assessment.
Targeted at the 2,000 largest European, Middle Eastern and African companies, the Global 2000 Programme forms an integral part of Citrix’s strategy to build deeper penetration in large enterprise accounts. Citrix technology is already used by 95 percent of FT Europe 100 firms and over 70 percent of FT Europe 500 firms.
“To remain competitive, global organisations have to ensure that their employees have simple, reliable access to corporate information,” said Stefan Sjöström, vice president for EMEA, Citrix Systems. “Citrix virtual workplace solutions enable that access by simplifying complex computing environments for large enterprises. The Citrix Global 2000 Programme and the Value-Add Awards will give all of our partners incentives that will help drive sales in our key growth area – large global organisations.”
“Large enterprises today invariably have highly heterogeneous IT environments that they need to deploy to a dispersed workforce,” said Rob van der Hoeven, Regional Director Benelux, Citrix Systems. “Citrix has a crucial role to play in bringing back control of large enterprise systems, and the new Global 2000 Programme enables the channel to provide the pricing, licensing and expertise to be part of this market.”
