SIEMENS Communications is offering visitors to its new customer centre - thought to be one of the first in the world to involve fully networking PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) - a unique glimpse into the future of business working.
As communications makes the world a “smaller” place, the development of the PDA is also changing the devices used to communicate. The growth of the ‘mobile’ worker has accelerated the PDA’s integration into the business world and Siemens Communications’ new centre - at its Milton Keynes headquarters - will show how such products are now completely positioned to offer the user all the connections they need to work as part of a large Corporate network.
“PDAs have rocketed from the world of personal use and expenditure to one where they are seen as a comparatively cost-effective way of mobilising the work force without compromising efficiency or the ability to communicate,” said Mr Tim Bishop product business manager at Siemens Communications.
“As the UK’s, and one of the worlds, leading suppliers of business communications for the last 20 years, Siemens has been working to integrate the PDA into its business solution and the Milton Keynes centre will see the PDA as the jewel in the crown”.
Mobile business applications are a core element in Siemens Communications product range and the centre will give people hands-on experience of the latest mobile business solutions for field sales and service. Siemens works closely with customers to tailor-make applications for mobile workforces to ensure effective integration with a company’s existing systems and processes.
The new centre also provides businesses with a valuable opportunity to see a full range of CRM, mobility and Siemens HiPath communication solutions in action, these include:
HiPath ProCenter
Multi media enabled interactive tracking
Mobile business suite
Web self-help
Streamlined desktop
Xpressions - unified messaging and hot-desking
HiPath 4000
Realitis DX 7.1 New World
HiPath 5500
