Citrix Announces Customer Penetration in 100 of Fortune 100, 95 Percent of Fortune 500

In other significant customer news, Citrix announced that nearly two million users of Citrix® MetaFrame® 1.8 for Windows® have already migrated to Citrix MetaFrame XP™ software since its launch in February 2001.  In total, more than three million end users have adopted MetaFrame XP.  The majority of MetaFrame XP customers are using MetaFrame XPe, the enterprise application-serving edition of the software. “Citrix MetaFrame XPe has helped our hospital achieve our goal of providing better patient care,” said Calvin Wright, technical director of The University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Centre, a Citrix customer that migrated from MetaFrame 1.8.  “By consolidating all our applications centrally, Citrix software has enabled us to empower our doctors, nurses and administrators with the information they need, at their fingertips.”

MetaFrame XP is the industry’s most powerful application serving and management platform.  Citrix delivered the first feature release of MetaFrame XP for Windows last October, and plans to launch its second feature release this month.
