Amsterdam, 9 juli 2013 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, heeft Scott Musson aangesteld als nieuwe vice president of Global Strategic Alliances. Musson die afkomstig is van VMware, is verantwoordelijk voor Red Hat’s relaties met wereldwijde alliance partners, system integrators en independent software vendors (ISV’s). Daarnaast beheert hij de strategische relaties met HP, IBM, Dell en Cisco.
Het rijke channel en partner ecosysteem van Red Hat helpt organisaties over de hele wereld met de overstap naar de open hybrid cloud, het beheer van hun datacenter en het moderniseren van hun applicaties. Onder leiding van Musson zal het Red Hat Global Strategic Alliances team met partners gezamenlijke bedrijfsplannen en producten rond Red Hat-technologieën ontwikkelen om Red Hat’s leidende positie in de technologie-industrie te bevorderen.
Musson werkte voorheen bij VMware waar hij senior director was van Global Strategic Alliances. In deze functie was hij verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van een strategisch en technisch alliantie-samenwerkingsmodel. Daarvoor was hij werkzaam voor diverse andere IT-bedrijven waaronder NCR, HP en Dell.
