Amersfoort, 15 februari 2012 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag aan dat Swisscom IT Services AG, een dochteronderneming van Swisscom, de telecommarktleider in Zwitserland, zich heeft aangesloten bij het Red Hat cloud ecosysteem als een Certified Cloud Provider partner. Hierdoor bieden zij meer keuze en flexibiliteit voor open cloud oplossingen.
Conform de lancering van zijn publieke cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) aanbod dat zich richt op enterprise-class klanten hoofdzakelijk op de Zwitserse markt, heeft Swisscom zijn technische samenwerking met Red Hat uitgebreid. Swisscom maakt al geruime tijd gebruik van Red Hat technologieën waaronder Red Hat Enterprise Linux met virtualisatie, JBoss Enterprise Middleware en Red Hat Network Satellite systems management. Nu breidt Swisscom IT Services deze samenwerking uit richting de cloud met het aanbod van Red Hat Enterprise Linux per uur of per jaar voor virtuele machines op zijn IaaS cloud.

Daarnaast bieden we Red Hat Enterprise Linux aan onze IaaS-klanten aan waardoor ze meer keuze, mogelijkheden en flexibiliteit hebben met hun cloud deployments.’
