Amersfoort, 16 februari 2010 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE:RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag de lancering aan van de vierde jaarlijkse Red Hat Innovation Awards. De awards worden uitgereikt tijdens de 2010 Red Hat Summit en JBoss World, van 22 tot 25 juni 2010 in Boston. Ze zijn een teken van erkenning voor uitstekend gebruik van Red Hat- en JBoss-oplossingen door klanten, partners en de open source community.
De categorieën voor de Innovation Awards zijn:
Geoptimaliseerde oplossingen: Erkenning van uitzonderlijke prestaties, schaalbaarheidsverbeteringen dankzij opensourceoplossingen.
Superieure alternatieven: Erkenning van de meest succesvolle migratie van gesloten oplossingen naar open source.
Ecosystemen: Erkenning van het gebruik van Red Hat of JBoss’ groeiende partner ecosysteem om innovatieve architecturen te ontwikkelen gebaseerd op opensourceoplossingen.
Kostenbesparing: Honoreren van klanten die opensourceoplossingen gebruiken om significante kostenbesparingen te realiseren en zo extra waarde uit bestaande systemen te halen.
Opensourcearchitectuur: Erkenning van het gebruik van Red Hat, JBoss en het aanbod van partners om innovatieve architecturen op basis van opensourceoplossingen te creëren.
Inschrijvingen voor de Innovation Awards kunnen tot 15 april 2010 worden ingediend. Vier categorieën erkennen twee inschrijvingen: een afkomstig van Red Hat en een van JBoss. De award in de opensourcearchitectuur-categorie wordt uitgereikt aan de winnaar die zowel Red Hat- als JBoss-oplossingen gebruikt. Uit de winnaars van alle categorieën wordt via online verkiezingen één Red Hat Innovator en één JBoss Innovator van het Jaar geselecteerd.
