Tilburg, 24 januari 2007 - Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Brocade®) (Nasdaq: BRCD) en McData Corporation (Nasdaq: MCDTA/MCDT) kondigen aan dat de United States Federal Trade Commission het mededingingsonderzoek naar de overname van McData heeft afgesloten. Daarmee is ook de wachtperiode in het kader van de Hart-Scott-Rodino Act beëindigd.
Op 25 januari 2007 worden speciale bijeenkomsten voor aandeelhouders van McData en Brocade georganiseerd. Afhankelijk van de goedkeuring van de aandeelhouders kan de overeenkomst in principe op 29 januari 2007 gesloten worden.
