Rolling out Cartesis Planning globally, Royal Bank of Scotland was recognized for dramatically reducing its budgeting and forecasting cycles while maintaining flexibility on a divisional level. IXIS AM Group integrated Cartesis Finance and Cartesis Planning to improve its financial management with strategic planning. Roche leveraged the speed of Cartesis Finance to reduce closing from 20 to five days and SYSCO Corporation, the largest foodservice distributor in North America, accelerated its close process and improved financial visibility across its operating companies.
Numerous submissions were evaluated and scored by a distinguished panel of judges from La Tribune; IT Week; Handelsblatt Online; The Boston Consulting Group; Microsoft; INSEAD; HP; and Cartesis. Connect 2006 attendees then voted for their favorite of four finalists during the two day event. Ballots were tallied on the last day and the “Winner of the Year” was named during the closing session of Connect 2006.
Jesse Morris, assistant controller at SYSCO Corporation, the winner of the Cartesis Performance Management Excellence Award presented by Microsoft had this to say about his application: “Cartesis Finance is an integral component of our new Enterprise Financial Reporting System. We expect this system to reduce our reporting cycle from the three-to-four weeks to one week. Considering we consolidate 150 locations weekly and issue 300+ reports, this is a significant improvement. It furthers our goal of financial reporting excellence.”
“We make performance management software that creates business value by positively impacting people and processes,” says Didier Benchimol, CEO of Cartesis. “The Cartesis Performance Management Excellence Awards recognize best practices in implementation and execution. These award winning solutions are notable accomplishments and I want to congratulate each one on their great success.”
