(NYSE: CA) announced that eTrust Security Command Center, a powerful solution for managing and responding to security events across the enterprise, has been listed in the “Leader” quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s Security Information and Event Management Magic Quadrant for the second half of 2005*.
Magic Quadrant leaders are vendors that are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. The Magic Quadrant is a graphical portrayal of Gartner’s opinion of vendor performance in a market segment, based on viability, service/support, features and functionality, and technology.
According to Gartner, the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) market is driven by the customer need to have better real-time awareness of external and internal threats, the need for security data analysis and reporting, and the need to monitor systems and report on security policy compliance.
eTrust Security Command Center significantly reduces business risk and helps ensure regulatory compliance while improving the productivity of IT security teams. It presents security data in an intuitive graphical interface that enables IT security teams to quickly identify and respond to events and vulnerabilities based on their urgency and potential business impact.
