Getronics North America and Booz Allen Hamilton today announced a three-year, EUR 20.7 million (USD 25 million) contract which states that Getronics will provide remote and onsite management and support for all computers, printers, and related desktop technologies used by the approximately 14,500 Booz Allen employees throughout the United States.
Booz Allen, a global strategy and technology consulting firm based in McLean, Virginia, and operating on six continents, has relied upon Getronics for help desk and desktop support in the US since 2000. The new contract includes expanded services focused on optimising the productivity and effectiveness of the Booz Allen workforce, such as IT asset management, LAN administration, account administration, and telecom management. The combination of services is expected to save Booz Allen more than 25% in IT support costs over the next three years. The contract also has two single-year renewal options.
George Tillmann, Booz Allen’s Chief Information Officer: “At Booz Allen, we deliver ‘results that endure’ for our consulting clients. Over the past four years, and with our new agreement, Getronics has been delivering enduring results to Booz Allen as well. Both the delivery of the outsourced services and the process improvements Getronics has introduced have brought us cost savings and efficiencies that have become part of our organisational DNA. Those savings and efficiencies will be with us for years to come.”
Getronics’ combined services will provide an agile, secure, highly available technology environment that will enable Booz Allen to profit from the continuous changes facing their organisation, wherever and whenever consulting services are required.
“Getronics has been connecting with Booz Allen for several years now. We connect with our clients by working closely together in a constantly evolving partnership, based on their critical success factors and definition of business value. With Booz Allen, we focus on optimising the productivity and effectiveness of their number one asset: their industry leading consultants across the globe,” said Steve Sullivan, President of Getronics North America IT Sourcing Services.
