Group 2000 has introduced a new solution in today’s Telco market. The “Navajo” Ring Back Tone Solution provides the Telecom Operators with the possibility of increasing the amount of subscribers, as well as to increase the level of subscriber commitment. A key issue in this commitment is personalisation of telephony services. After logo 's and ring-tones it is now time to replace your Ring Back Tone (RBT), an absolute "killerapp" in Asia at the moment.
The personalised ring back tone (the tone a person hears when he or she calls you) can be used to welcome (known) callers in a special way. For example by playing "Hello, is it me you are looking for?" when your spouse calls you. It is possible to use a personalised ring back tone for any calling-party, at any time of the day.
So is a Ring Back Tone service really so special that it requires a complete new infrastructure? Although the Ring Back Tone as a service is new, the technology to implement it has been used by Group 2000 for many years. From a technical point of view, 90% of the service consists of building blocks designed and operable for announcement systems.
The Group 2000 Ring Back Tone solution enables telecom operators to implement this service in their network in a cost-effective way, reusing the available network and content management infrastructure as much as possible. Especially the various types of self-service channels like WEB, WAP, IVR, SMS and USSD can be re-used.
