Het Zwitserse bedrijf Mettler Toledo brengt het beheer van haar contracten met internationale mobiele en vaste telecomleveranciers onder bij BT. 's werelds grootste producent van professionele meet- en weeginstrumenten maakt BT ook verantwoordelijk voor alle logistieke taken die samenhangen met het beheer van de 1.200 mobiele telefoons die werknemers in Zwitserland, Duitsland, Engeland en Frankrijk in gebruik hebben. Met deze nieuwe vormen van dienstverlening genaamd 'managed mobile voice' en 'fixed voice services' breidt BT haar ICT-dienstenportfolio verder uit.
Mettler Toledo verwacht door de overeenkomst met BT op kosten voor vaste en mobiele telefonie te besparen. Bijkomend voordeel is dat de efficiëntie van buitendienstmedewerkers omhoog gaat. Het contract geldt voor drie jaar en heeft een waarde van 8,3 miljoen Euro.
Op afzienbare termijn biedt BT de 'managed mobile voice' dienst ook in Nederland aan.

BT wins Managed mobile and global fixed voice contract with METTLER TOLEDO
BT today announced the signature of a Euro 8.3 million contract with the international METTLER TOLEDO Group. The three-year contract includes the management of around 1,200 mobile phones in Switzerland, Germany, England and France coupled with a global fixed voice solution covering USA, Europe and Asia. Mettler-Toledo International Inc., headquartered in Greifensee, Switzerland, develops and produces world renowned high-precision measuring and weighing instruments. Employing approx. 8,000 persons, the company is represented in over 100 countries. The project is designed to deliver savings on METTLER TOLEDO's fixed voice services and to boost the efficiency of the mobile workforce and reduce associated costs. In winning this contract, BT successfully staved off rival bids from competitors from Europe, Asia and the US.
With the managed mobile solution, METTLER TOLEDO can consolidate its mobile services with a pan European partner. The project will reduce the administrative workload in managing the mobile portfolio. BT will also manage negotiations and contract administration with the mobile operators in the listed countries in order to improve operating costs, simplify the registration and cancellation of accounts, and offer a single point of contact for invoices and contracts. These advantages and the experiences as a service provider of sophisticated solutions also persuaded METTLER TOLEDO to choose BT.
