14 November 2003 - ThyssenKrupp Elevator, the world’s third-largest elevator company, is to implement the Oracle E-Business Suite globally in an effort to standardise and optimise its business processes further. The entire system will be outsourced to Oracle, which will operate and administer it from its own data centre. Oracle Consulting will roll out the implementation to the elevator company’s 30,000 employees at 800 locations in 60 countries.

"Physical location is immaterial. We can provide the outsourced service whether the computers reside at the customer’s location of choice or at Oracle’s own data centre, as will be the case with ThyssenKrupp Elevator."
