Toshiba Europe GmbH Storage Device Division today added the SD-M1802 DVD-ROM drive to its industry-leading product line.
With a half-height form factor and market-leading DVD playback quality, the
SD-M1802 is an enhanced version of its award-winning predecessors, the popular SD-M1712 and SD-M1612 models. In addition to the unrivalled versatility, the SD-M1802 has industry-leading error correction and variable speed playback.
The new drive realises a maximum read speed of 16x for DVD-ROM and 48x for CD-ROM. The drive is backward compatible with all CD media, so users can continue to use their existing CD-ROM, CD-audio, CD-R and CD-RW libraries.
Like its predecessor the SD-M1612, the SD-M1802 is capable of reading all the recognised DVD-recordable standards in addition to all the established CD standards. Its ground-breaking buffer size of 512KB offered users an unparalleled viewing experience and brings greater DVD realism to the PC.
The SD-M1612 was the first drive to achieve these industry-leading standards.
Specifications:
CD-ROM Read 48X
DVD-ROM Read 16X
