Amsterdam, 29 maart 2016 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, en SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), aanbieder van flash storage-oplossingen, zijn een strategische alliantie aangegaan. Klanten kunnen profiteren van de gecombineerde voordelen van Ceph en flash storage. Het flash storage systeem InfiniFlash van SanDisk biedt in combinatie met Red Hat Ceph Storage, prestaties van wereldklasse en efficiënt databeheer, waarmee operationele en kapitale uitgaven verlaagd kunnen worden.
Als onderdeel van de samenwerking, wordt Red Hat Ceph Storage aangeboden in combinatie met het nieuwste SanDisk InfiniFlash storagesysteem. Door open, software-defined storage van Red Hat en flash storage van SanDisk te combineren, kunnen bedrijven een brede set van workloads bedienen met beter geïntegreerde, high-performing storage, die beter schaalt.
Red Hat Ceph Storage is een open, schaalbare, software-defined storageoplossing. Het wordt veel gebruikt in de OpenStack community en biedt een efficiënt platform om de groeiende storagebehoeften aan cloudinfrastructuren te ondersteunen.
Het SanDisk InfiniFlash systeem biedt de prestaties van full-flash opslagtechnologie met de economische voordelen van een hard disk drive (HDD)-gebaseerd systeem. Het systeem voorziet in de behoeften van middelgrote tot grote implementaties. In combinatie met Red Hat Ceph Storage biedt het
petabyte-scale capaciteit,
