Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), een leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt aan dat de zesde jaarlijkse Open Source Conference zal plaatsvinden in de Beurs van Berlage op 6 december 2013. Het event, dat naar verwachting meer dan duizend deelnemers uit Nederland, België en Luxemburg mag verwelkomen, wordt mede georganiseerd door Accenture.
Onder het thema van dit jaar, “Drive Innovation and Maximize Value with Big Data, Cloud, Mobile and Social Strategies”, zullen de voordelen van de nieuwste opensourceoplossingen gedemonstreerd worden. Daarnaast worden deelnemers bijgepraat over de laatste ontwikkelingen en geadviseerd over oplossingen die op effectieve wijze uitdagingen uit de markt kunnen aanpakken en tegemoet komen aan de behoeften van hun bedrijf.
Sprekers, waaronder Paul Cormier, president Products & Technologies bij Red Hat en Tomas Nyström, managing director bij Accenture, zullen tijdens de keynote presentaties hun visie delen over de laatste wereldwijde innovaties en trends. In zijn keynote vertelt Cormier hoe de open hybride cloud de business agility van bedrijven verhoogt door hen in staat te stellen private clouds, federate public clouds in te zetten en om hybride IT-diensten te leveren op basis van 100 procent opensourcetechnologie.
Bezoekers van de conferentie kunnen bovendien deelnemen aan een verscheidenheid aan technische en interactieve sessies en live demonstraties en leden van Red Hat’s ecosysteem ontmoeten, waaronder: ingenieurs, klanten en partners. Verder zullen klanten hun ervaringen uit de praktijk delen over hoe Red Hat-oplossingen groei en innovatie stimuleren.
De conferentie bestaat ook uit presentaties van Platinum Partners, zoals EnterpriseDB, IBM, Fairbanks en diverse anderen. Tijdens de technische breakout-sessies worden onderwerpen als big data, cloud computing, digitaal, sociale media, mobiel en storage verder uitgediept. Bezoekers kunnen bovendien met vakgenoten en experts discussiëren over IT-zaken en -strategieën en het event vormt uiteraard een mooie netwerkgelegenheid.
Ed Boyajian, directeur en CEO van EnterpriseDB, gaat in op de toegenomen druk op datacentermanagers om meer te bereiken met hetzelfde budget. In zijn keynote zal hij uitleggen waarom Postgres 60 procent van een datacenter kan laten draaien voor slechts 1 procent van het budget. De presentatie van Raoul van Engelshoven, vice president financial markets Europe bij IBM, richt zich op agility als een belangrijke zakelijke behoefte en Ruud Harmsen, director van Fairbanks, zal “The World is Open” belichten en deelnemers begeleiden in het toegang krijgen tot state-of-the-art technologie, aangedreven door een brede, wereldwijde adoptie van OpenStack.
