Amsterdam, 1 oktober 2013 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt de plannen aan rond zijn EMEA partnerprogramma. Dankzij het nieuwe programma kunnen partners aan enterprises een oplossingsgericht portfolio bieden.
Het programma is opgesteld als stimulans voor partners en als beloning voor het opbouwen van kennis van de verschillende producten binnen de drie belangrijke gebieden voor partners, te weten: datacenter-infrastructuur, middleware-oplossingen en cloud-infrastructuur. Producten van partners worden gecategoriseerd binnen elk van deze gebieden. Daarnaast ontvangen partners speciale trainingen en worden ze ondersteund in een snelle go-to-market. Voor de opbouw van kennis en de go-to-market programma's worden partners door Red Hat beloond.
Om partners te helpen competenties binnen de drie specialisaties op te bouwen, krijgen ze toegang tot Red Hat’s nieuwe
Online Partner Enablement Network (OPEN). Het netwerk biedt virtuele trainingen, demo’s en toegang tot een technische bibliotheek. Voor partners met een Advanced- en Premier-status is de toegang gratis. Andere voordelen van het programma omvatten hogere
deal registration-kortingen voor partners die meer dan de minimaal vereiste competenties hebben verworven. Advanced- en Premier-partners kunnen bovendien voor het uitvoeren van bepaalde sales-activiteiten toegang verdienen tot
business development-fondsen.
“IT-omgevingen van bedrijven veranderen steeds en bestaan uit heterogene technologieën. Klanten zoeken daarom interoperabele en open bedrijfsoplossingen in plaats van individuele producten die slechts een deel van het probleem oplossen. Met het nieuwe programma willen we onze partners helpen deze verandering te ondersteunen,” aldus Petra Heinrich, vice president Partners and Alliances EMEA bij Red Hat.
De ontwikkeling van het Red Hat EMEA partnerprogramma is gericht op het tegemoet komen aan zowel de channel-behoeften in EMEA als de verwachte toename van het aantal klanten.
“Het categoriseren naar oplossingen, in plaats van naar functionaliteiten of producten, is aantrekkelijk voor klanten die weg willen van hun oude IT-silo’s en gaan voor gestandaardiseerde open platformen. Met ons nieuwe programma kunnen partners ons complete portfolio in deze nieuwe oplossingsgebieden verkopen en nieuwe vaardigheden ontwikkelen. Daar zullen niet alleen onze partners van profiteren, maar ook onze klanten,” vervolgt Heinrich.
Het nieuwe Red Hat EMEA partnerprogramma zal naar alle waarschijnlijkheid in mei 2014 het bestaande programma vervangen. Partners kunnen binnenkort starten te voldoen aan de nieuwe programma-eisen om zo de Advanced- of Premier-status zeker te stellen.
