CRN’s 2013 list of Channel Chiefs. Mark Enzweiler, vice president, Global Channels and Alliances; Roger Egan, vice president of North America Channel Sales and Development; en Mike Byrd, director of Public Sector Channel Sales, hebben deze vermelding te danken aan hun leiderschap, het behartigen van belangen in het kanaal en de partner successen in 2012. De eer valt Enzweiler voor de vierde keer en Egan voor de derde keer ten deel. Byrd, die voorheen een van CRN’s “25 Public Sector Channel Leaders” was, is nieuw in de lijst. Deze lijst wordt samengesteld door de redactie van CRN en bevat een aantal van de meest invloedrijke en krachtige leiders in het IT-kanaal. Het doel is executives te belonen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor het stimuleren van de verkoop binnen hun organisatie terwijl ze het belang van het kanaal binnen de gehele IT-branche evangeliseren en verdedigen. Kandidaten worden geselecteerd op basis van hun ervaring, programma innovaties, kanaalgedreven omzet en publieke ondersteuning voor het belang van IT Channel Sales.
Onder leiding van deze personen kondigde Red Hat verschillende partnerinnovaties aan waaronder programma updates, tools en resources om de verkoop te verbeteren evenals marketing en technische support initiatieven voor partners. Deze innovaties omvatten onder andere een aangepast training curriculum voor alle partners, een online virtueel demo lab, klant demonstraties en een nieuw Partner Lead Pass Program.
