Amsterdam, 10 januari 2013 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt de Europese introductie aan van Red Hat Online Learning (ROLE) – een nieuwe online leermethode waarbij de cursisten zelf hun tempo kunnen bepalen en online toegang hebben tot de inhoud van de cursus en het praktijkgerichte lab. De cursus wordt aangeboden in het Engels, Frans, Duits en Spaans.
Cursisten hebben online toegang tot het cursusmateriaal dat vergelijkbaar is met het materiaal dat in traditionele klassikale cursussen wordt gebruikt en is uitgebreid met een uitleg voor zelfstudie. Daarnaast hebben ze toegang tot een bibliotheek van webinars en video colleges met instructies. Hiermee kunnen de cursisten zich voorbereiden op de Red Hat Certified System Administrator en Red Hat Certified Engineer examens (EX200 en EX300). Via een kennis check kan de kennis van het materiaal worden getest alvorens men naar het online lab gaat. Daarnaast geeft deze tool cursisten feedback.
“Onze online leermethode biedt klanten flexibiliteit. Ze kunnen de cursus in hun eigen tempo volgen, volgens hun eigen schema en vanuit iedere locatie waar ze toegang tot internet hebben”, aldus Jens Ziemann, director Red Hat Training, EMEA. “ROLE biedt content van hoge kwaliteit en de laboratoria die we gebruiken voor onze klassikale training tegen slechts 80 procent van de kosten van traditionele klassikale trainingen.”
Cursisten ontvangen een abonnement voor 90 dagen waarmee ze toegang hebben tot de drie Red Hat Online Learning componenten: het cursusmateriaal, webinars en het lab. Tijdens de 90 dagen hebben ze in totaal 80 uur toegang tot het lab. Die toegang kunnen ze verkrijgen via een desktop of laptop. Het cursusmateriaal en webinars kunnen ook via een mobiel apparaat worden bekeken.
Om de cursisten de informatie te bieden die ze nodig hebben om hun Linux administration vaardigheden te verbeteren en zich voor te bereiden op hun praktijkgerichte examens, is ROLE beschikbaar voor de volgende cursussen:
- Red Hat System Administration I (RH124R)
- Red Hat System Administration II (RH134R)
- Red Hat System Administration III (RH254R)
Red Hat Online Learning (ROLE) wordt in de volgende Europese landen aangeboden: Nederland, België, Luxemburg, Verenigd Koninkrijk, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Spanje, Italië, Oostenrijk, Zwitserland, Denemarken, Noorwegen, Zweden, Finland en Portugal.
