(NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt – in lijn met de wereldwijde beschikbaarheid van Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.1 – aan dat Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization door HP VirtualSystem VS2 wordt ondersteund. HP VirtualSystem VS2 is een nieuwe geconvergeerde
system reference architectuur. Die architectuur heeft mede tot doel het gebruik van virtualisatiesoftware te versnellen terwijl de prestaties en de omvang gemaximaliseerd worden.
HP biedt, sinds de introductie van Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0 in januari 2012, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization subscriptions en ondersteunende diensten op HP ProLiant servers. Via HP zijn ook consulting, scholing en implementatiediensten voor Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization beschikbaar.
De HP VirtualSystem VS2 Reference Architecture voor Red Hat is een enterprise-business, single-rack oplossing die is geoptimaliseerd voor compute density. Het is gebaseerd op de HP BladeSystem C7000 Enclosure, HP ProLiant BL460c servers, HP 5800 Switch Series en HP LeftHand P4800 Storage voor BladeSystem en Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. De gecombineerde oplossing is ontworpen om honderden virtuele machines te ondersteunen en biedt een basisset van uitgebreide configuraties en sizing voor typische workloads voor deployment optimalisatie.
