(NYSE: RHT), leverancier van opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag een set oplossingen aan die het bedrijf de komende maanden wil gaan uitrollen en gebaseerd is op Red Hat-producten en -technologieën. Met deze oplossingen kunnen enterprises open hybride clouds bouwen en beheren. Ze vormen een combinatie uit Red Hat's portfolio – waaronder Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat Storage, JBoss Enterprise Middleware, Red Hat CloudFormsTM en Red Hat OpenShiftTM Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). Red Hat wil hiermee enterprises een makkelijke start bieden richting open hybride cloud computing met minder complexiteit.

De vier open hybride cloudoplossingen van Red Hat die vandaag geïntroduceerd zijn, omvatten:
- OpenShiftTM Enterprise PaaS oplossing: het cloud applicatieplatform voor enterprises. Deze oplossing combineert Red Hat CloudForms, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization en JBoss Enterprise Middleware om een ITOps PaaS te bouwen die ontwikkelaars de gewenste snelheid en agility bieden terwijl ze kunnen voldoen aan de operationele en goverance vereisten van enterprise IT in een open en hybride cloud. In de toekomst zal deze oplossing worden uitgebreid zodat klanten een DevOps PaaS omgeving kunnen bouwen die volledig compatibel is met de OpenShift.com Public PaaS.
- Red Hat Hybrid Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) oplossing: de eerste open hybride cloudoplossing voor enterprises. Deze oplossing omvat de software die nodig is om een hybride cloud in te zetten en te beheren, inclusief virtualisatiebeheer met Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization; cloud management, governed self-service en systems management met Red Hat CloudForms; en een gast besturingssysteem met Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Red Hat is van plan om in de toekomst publieke cloud uren van toonaangevende leveranciers in de oplossing te incorporeren.
- Red Hat Cloud met virtualisatiebundel: enterprises verplaatsen naar de cloud tegen de prijs van virtualisatie. Dit aanbod bundelt Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization en Red Hat CloudFormsTM zodat gebruikers sneller naar de cloud kunnen verhuizen door virtualisatie en cloudbeheer in dezelfde projectcyclus te combineren.
- Red Hat Storage: herdefiniëren van enterprise en hybride cloud storage met opensourceoplossingen. Red Hat Storage, de scale-out, open source storage software voor het beheren van ongestructureerde gegevens is vanaf vandaag beschikbaar met Red Hat Storage Server 2.0. Red Hat Storage transformeert de enterprise en cloud storage markt door – voor de eerste keer – de door de community ingebrachte innovatie te combineren met het volume voordeel van x86 servers in on-premise, cloud of hybride omgevingen.
Beschikbaarheid
Red Hat Storage is per direct beschikbaar. De OpenShift Enterprise PaaS oplossing, Red Hat Hybrid Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) oplossing en Red Hat Cloud met virtualisatie bundel zijn naar verwachting vanaf de zomer van 2012 beschikbaar.
