Amersfoort, 10 maart 2011 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen kondigt vandaag de beschikbaarheid aan van het JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 5.1 dat nieuwe toevoegingen voor de integratie van datadiensten bevat.
JBoss Enterprise Data Services Platform 5.1, een superset van JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 5.1, is een open source datavirtualisatie- en integratieplatform. Hiermee kan men informatie uit meerdere data stores van verschillende formaten verkrijgen die gebruikt kan worden voor applicaties en business processen. Deze datadiensten worden herbruikbare assets binnen de enterprise en waardeketen. Ze verhogen het rendement ten aanzien van data assets, maken een snellere time-to-solution mogelijk en een betere bedrijfsuitvoering.

Bedrijven gebruiken verschillende gegevensbronnen en formats om hun applicaties op te laten draaien. In veel gevallen zijn deze gegevensbronnen hardwired in applicaties via data access frameworks die de flexibiliteit verminderen en controle en compliance moeilijk maken. Deze data-architectuur verhindert de agility en kostenbesparingen die worden geleverd door service-oriented architectures (SOA) door overbodige datasilo’s voor elke applicatie terug te dringen. JBoss Enterprise Data Services Platform 5.1 pakt deze problemen aan door meerdere data stores gelijktijdig te virtualiseren. Hierdoor zijn de datadiensten makkelijk bruikbaar door meerdere applicaties en business processen. Door gebruik te maken van het geïntegreerde JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 5.1 kan de geleverde informatie door het gebruik van datavirtualisatie makkelijker geïntegreerd worden in de business waarbij de ESB wordt opgenomen in het platform.

JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 5.1 bevat:
- Apache CXF web services stack.
- JBoss Developer Studio 4.0, inclusief SOA tooling voor ESB en datavirtualisatie.
- Een technologie preview van WS-BPEL, voor het samenbrengen van diensten.
- Een technologie preview van Apache Camel Gateway.
- Bijgewerkte certificeringen (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Windows 2008, IBM, JDK etc.).

Tevens vormt het een basis voor toekomstige integratie paradigma’s, zoals het integreren van cloud, hybride en on-premise data, diensten en applicaties.
