’Burn-In operations are required especially in aerospace and automotive industries where there is a need for fast access to measurement results in order to fine-tune products,’ Thorsten Bucksch (CTO) explains. RoodMicrotec supports several customers, including fabless companies and OEMs, in these operations.
By investing in a fully automatic loading & unloading system, RoodMicrotec has now fully automated the Burn-In process. This increases quality and shortens processing time. No manual steps are necessary, which optimises process safety. The automated system has a throughput of up to 5000 devices per hour which is 10x faster compared to manual operation.
Processing time reduction leads to a significant reduction of total costs. Burn-In at competitive prices at faster throughput appears attractive to customers. This is essential in the current market situation and results in a clear competitive advantage for the customer.
