Amersfoort, 6 augustus 2009 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), marktleider in opensourceoplossingen, kondigt vandaag de 11 finalisten aan die strijden om de Red Hat en JBoss Innovation Awards. De awards worden voor de derde keer uitgereikt en geven een blijk van erkenning aan excellent gebruik, innovatie en uitbreiding van Red Hat- en JBoss-oplossingen door Red Hat-klanten, -partners en de open source community. Van de 11 finalisten worden tijdens het Red Hat Summit en JBoss World, van1 tot en met 4 september in Chicago, een ‘Red Hat Innovator of the Year’ en een ‘JBoss Innovator of the Year’ gekozen.
In de vijf categorieën worden steeds twee finalisten aangewezen, een Red Hat- en een JBoss-finalist. Daarnaast wordt in de categorie ‘opensourcearchitectuur’ een winnaar gekozen die beide oplossingen gebruikt. De winnaars van de Red Hat Innovation Awards krijgen gratis toegang tot het Red Hat Summit en JBoss World.
De community bepaalt uiteindelijk – via online stemmen - wie de ‘Red Hat Innovator of the Year’ en de ‘JBoss Innovator of the Year’ worden, zij worden bekend gemaakt tijdens een speciale awarduitreiking op 4 september.
