MKB-programma van Citrix groot succes

Vianen, 14 juli 2006 — Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), wereldwijd marktleider op het gebied van access infrastructure solutions, heeft zijn doelstellingen voor het aantrekken van resellers voor zijn MKB-partnerprogramma in het eerste jaar ruim overstegen. Sinds de introductie van het programma vorig jaar tijdens de Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference heeft Citrix 3.000 nieuwe resellers opgenomen in zijn Citrix Access EssentialsTM (CAE) autorisatietraject in Noord-Amerika, EMEA, Latijns-Amerika en het Caraibisch gebied. Dit was vijftig procent meer dan de initiële doelstelling. Citrix Marks VAR Successes and Kicks Off Next Stage of SMB Channel Development

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — July 11, 2006 — Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, has exceeded its first year reseller recruitment target in the Small to Medium Business (SMB) Partner Program – and plans to double that during the next year. Since its launch at last July’s Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, Citrix has successfully integrated over 3,000 new resellers into its Citrix Access EssentialsTM (CAE) authorization track in North America, EMEA, Latin America and the Caribbean; 50 percent over its initial goal.

The announcement, made at this year’s conference in Boston, MA, rings in Citrix’s intentions to significantly grow its position in the SMB market with an expanded set of remote access solutions and broader distribution channel.
“The past year has been enormously successful for our SMB channel program with a new partner joining, on average, almost every other hour,” said Keith Turnbull, vice president and SMB product line executive, Citrix. “Nevertheless, there are numerous geographic and vertical opportunities going unserved where additional qualified VARs and ISVs are sorely needed.”

Citrix Access Essentials allows users to securely access central business systems, such as order entry, billing, scheduling, CRM, accounting or HR tools, as well as other Windows-based applications, over the Internet using a standard Web browser. The cost-effective software allows small organizations to offer workers in companies of five to 75 users a level of work flexibility that has traditionally only been affordable for larger businesses. Citrix’s wider SMB product portfolio also includes online meeting, conferencing, support and network security services.

One partner that has benefited from this backing is Erik Testmann, CEO and managing partner of Contest A/S in Denmark. “In its first year, Citrix Access Essentials has proved to be a great product,” said Testmann, “which now makes it possible for our smaller customers to get some of the same advantages with the Citrix products as our bigger customers. We are experiencing great interest for Citrix Access Essentials in the Danish market and it fits perfectly with our competencies as Microsoft Small Business Specialist, Business Solutions Partner, and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. We expect a lot from Citrix Access Essentials, both now and in the future.”
