Dublin - June 05, 2006 Xiam Technologies, the leading provider of world class solutions for marketing mobile content, today announced next-generation advances in the 3rd part Advertising capabilities of its MPOS solution. AdSpace now supports seamless integration for 3rd party Advertisers, including Ad Agencies, to plan and execute their ad campaigns over the mobile channel. AdSpace provides simplified management, easy access, and unparalleled performance to 3rd party advertisers to use the Mobile Operator's online and outbound channels for highly targeted ad campaigns. This opens the way for Mobile Operators to sell sought-after advertising real estate to 3rd party media brands either directly or through an advertising agency.
According to Kurt Lillywhite, VP Marketing at Xiam, "MPOS' capabilities of matching subscribers with content, enables the AdSpace module to provide unparalleled access to target demographics and gives advertisers and their ad agencies the ability to set up and launch tightly defined ad campaigns over the mobile channel."
Ad agencies can be given access to the system by the Operator to upload artwork and copy in the right format to be used on a particular area of the web portal as well as for outbound campaigns. A simple drag and drop interface allows advertisers to set up the desired profile of the campaign's target market, by selecting demographic information. Adspace can then calculate the amount of subscribers who match that given criteria.
For example a fashion brand may wish to target a female target audience with significant purchasing power between the ages of 18 and 35, living in urban areas with an established interest in designer clothes. By selecting this group through the AdSpace interface, MPOS retrieves information about the demographic, calculates the size and presents this information, along with likely costs to the advertiser. "In effect, the operator is offering the advertiser a pre-defined target audience for their campaign as well as the real estate on the portal to display the ad" says Lillywhite.
The advertiser is also able to define the advertisement by its format and positioning and timing on the portal. All other variables such as how the advert is delivered, whether it be on-line, video stream, or outbound and the costs involved are transparent to the advertiser before the campaign is actually executed. MPOS takes care of the execution and delivery of the campaign. The advertiser can then view the results of the ad campaign in real-time with MPOS's advanced management dashboard reporting functionality.
