LANDesk Software Announces Reseller and Joint Development Agreement with Lenovo
LANDesk Expands Lenovo Relationship
August 25, 2005 - LANDesk Software, a leading provider of integrated systems and security management solutions, today announced that it has signed a significant resale and co-marketing agreement with Lenovo that also encompasses joint product development and technology integration. The agreement follows the announcement in May that LANDesk is partnering with Lenovo on its Innovation Center. The Lenovo Innovation Center enables customers, business partners, solution providers and independent software vendors to collaborate on new personal computing solutions to address today's toughest client IT challenges.
As part of the new agreement, LANDesk Software and Lenovo will work together on joint marketing programs including advertising, Web materials, collateral and other related materials. The two companies will also work together developing and selling integrated solutions using both companies' technologies and products.
"Collaborating with LANDesk, we are developing a co-branded product that will provide our customers with a great opportunity to leverage ThinkVantage Technologies for desktop manageability in their organizations," said Deepak Advani, chief marketing officer for Lenovo. "This new relationship will provide immediate benefit to our customers, and they can anticipate many new innovative features from this relationship in the future."
The joint development work resulting from this agreement will lead to future software and hardware solutions that will offer customers high levels of manageability and help them be more proactive in their IT efforts.
