Nieuwegein, 28 juni 2005 – Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) today announced the acquisition of Tiny Software, Inc., a privately-held developer of endpoint security technology for Windows desktops and servers, including the Tiny Personal Firewall. Financial details of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition extends CA’s leadership in threat management, which began with antivirus technology and continued with recent moves into anti-spyware and anti-spam technology. CA will continue to market Tiny Software solutions as standalone offerings as it incorporates them into its eTrust Integrated Threat Management software portfolio.

Sold on the Web and through an extensive network of resellers, Tiny Software products are used throughout the world, with OEM licensees including Microsoft, Unisys, and the U.S. Air Force. The company recently released Tiny Firewall 64, the first native firewall and system protection solution for 64-bit Windows operating systems. Tiny Software also offers a software development toolkit that enables third parties to integrate specific features of Tiny’s host security platform.
Tiny Software was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif.
