- Technologie – Twee nieuwe gebruikersgroepen.

New Oracle Professional Community to Help System Integrators Optimise Supply ChainSupply
Forum for SCM best practice follows success of Healthcare and Technology Initiatives
Oracle Corporation today announced the introduction of its latest Professional Community aimed at system integrators (SI) who focus on supply chain management (SCM) implementations. The Community provides SIs across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with an external forum where they can learn more about Oracle’s offering and discuss the hot topics in SCM: efficiency optimisation, cost reduction; and total visibility.
“It is important for us to fully understand Oracle’s SCM strategy, integrate it into ours and share best practice with our peers,” said Philippe Lavaud, Associate Partner, IBM Business Consulting Services. “This Community provides an excellent opportunity to get closer to Oracle, influence Oracle’s direction and together become stronger and more competitive.”
Andrew Simpson, Principle Consultant, Atos Origin said: “The SCM Professional Community provides an excellent environment for practioners and specialists from across the industry to share knowledge and openly discuss common issues. We all have different approaches, tools and techniques and, at Atos Origin, we recognise that by working with our partners, we can further improve the quality of solutions that we deliver to our customers."
The SCM Community builds on the success of those Oracle has set up dedicated to Technology and Healthcare:
- Technology – two communities have been set up. The first addresses Grid Computing and Consolidation and the second on Integration. The former looks at ways to make implementations quicker and smoother while taking full advantage of Oracle® technology. The latter helps SIs deal with integration issues and how Oracle products can streamline the process.
- Healthcare – in an era when the healthcare industry wants to improve the quality of patient care and address rising costs from an ageing population, information technology can help organisations meet these challenges. This community provides SIs the opportunity to explore industry trends and new paradigm opportunities.
"Oracle's healthcare solutions and support has provided us with an opportunity to meet the unique requirements for our healthcare customers in the Nordics,” said Hans-Ole Bång, Senior Vice President Business Development of WM-Data. “As a member of the Healthcare Professional Community we aspire to share best practices with Oracle and other partners on our Oracle HTB experience and develop future collaboration with partners from the industry.”
Leonidas Koveos, Public Sector Solutions Manager at Intracom said: “Oracle’s partner eco-system holds a wealth of valuable knowledge and expertise. By being part of the Healthcare Professional Community it provides us with an excellent opportunity to enhance our skills by drawing on the resources available and collaborating with our peers.”
All of the Communities have been set up in response to the needs of SIs from across the region. Open to all Oracle SI partners, members benefit from monthly web seminars, bi-annual conferences, industry training sessions and regular newsletters.
“Oracle is committed to providing its partners with the tools and resources they need to develop their skills and deliver excellent customer service,” said Christophe des Dorides, Director, Alliances & Channels, Oracle EMEA. “The launch of the latest Professional Community is another step towards our goal of ensuring Oracle is the number one choice for system integrators.”
