Amsterdam, 23 July 2004 --- After an extensive tender process, the Randstad Group has chosen Getronics to manage a significant part of its ICT infrastructure in The Netherlands. Today both parties signed a letter of intent. The official signing of this five-year contract with a value of more than EUR 15m is to be expected by the end of August.
The contract includes the management and maintenance of more than 7,000 work stations and 700 servers. These are distributed throughout the Randstad head office and 680 branches, including those of Randstad, Tempo-Team, Capac and Yacht. To guarantee continuity of service, 45 employees of I-Bridge, Randstad’s ICT shared service centre, will be employed by Getronics. The workers’ councils of both parties are involved.
“Network and Desktop Outsourcing (NDOS) is one of the seven core businesses for Getronics worldwide, with approximately 1.3 million desktops under the management of Getronics worldwide. We are pleased with the confidence Randstad has shown in outsourcing its ICT infrastructure to Getronics. Randstad now numbers among other Getronics outsourcing clients in The Netherlands, which include AVEBE, Stork and ANP.” said Oswald Coene, Member of the Board of Management of Getronics and General Manager of Getronics Netherlands.
Hans Wanders, Director I-Bridge, explained why Getronics was chosen: “By outsourcing, I-Bridge management can now focus on specific IT solutions for the Randstad Group’s (HR Services) activities. We considered around 20 potential companies, which we reduced to a shortlist of three. During final selection, Getronics had the best credentials regarding flexibility, quality, price and regional spread.”
