MPEG MovieMaker 200S for the Macintosh comes bundled with MPEG Composer for the Macintosh, Optibase's fully featured encoding management application, which offers an intuitive and attractive interface for selecting either preset consoles or individual encoding parameters. With MPEG Composer for the Macintosh you can encode a single MPEG file or batch encode several consecutive files at a time. Each MPEG file can contain several clips taken from different sources. MPEG Composer for the Macintosh also lets you fine-tune calibration settings on-the-fly for each clip during encoding.

Please note that Media 100, which recently became part of Optibase, is planning a press conference at IBC to make several announcements related to its flagship 844/X and newly-introduced Media 100 HD product lines. Media 100, which now has the significant financial backing of Optibase, is aggressively hiring engineers, accelerating its product development plans and expecting to unveil several new 844/X developments aimed at extending that system's leadership in the marketplace.
On the product side:
For the first time in Europe, Media 100 will be showcasing Media 100 HD, the resolution-independent native HD and SD editing system and the first implementation of 844/X technology on the Apple Power Mac G5 platform. Media 100 will also demonstrate 844/X Version 3.0, the largest software expansion of 844/X since the system's inception with many new real-time, multi-stream capabilities. 844/X Version 3.0, dubbed the Visual Effects Release, features advanced keying, 3D DVEs, shadow and glow effects, XML-based metadata interchange and a range of new performance optimizations for editing longer-form, layer-intensive projects. Both products will be shown in an 844/X and Media 100 HD theater in the Optibase booth 2.249.
