CA ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH PINK ELEPHANT AND PINKROCCADE TO HELP CUSTOMERS IMPLEMENT ITIL BEST PRACTICES

CA Technology Services also launches new offering to speed corporate adoption of Service Management Initiatives

Nieuwegein, May 26, 2004 ­ Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE:CA), Pink Elephant and PinkRoccade announced a global services agreement to help organizations optimize operational efficiency and better align IT services to business demands and goals.

The agreement will enable CA customers to decrease the time required to implement best practices described by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) through a broad range of education, consulting and technology services, ranging from assessment and project planning to implementation. It will leverage PinkRoccade and Pink Elephant's expertise in ITIL and CA's expertise in IT service management software tools.

Pink Elephant and PinkRoccade will offer their assessment services to help CA client organizations adopt ITIL into their environments. These services will provide CA customers with a process gap analysis and specific recommendations for a phased migration to IT process maturity and improved service management. As a result, CA Technology Services announced a new offering, entitled IT Service Management Assessment, which helps organizations adopt ITIL into their environments.

To improve alignment of IT services to business demands and goals, IT organizations must adapt their management processes to ensure high service levels, rapid response times and efficient remediation. This adaptation requires the implementation of both appropriate service management technologies and proven service management best practices.
