SALT LAKE CITY - April 28, 2004 - LANDesk Software, a leader in integrated desktop, server and mobile device management software, today announced it has recorded its 15th consecutive quarter of operating profitability and a 61 percent increase in revenue during Q1 of 2004 over Q1 of 2003*. The company's growth in the first quarter of the year resulted from a continued focus on responding to customer needs and positive global momentum around product and business initiatives.
New product license sales continue to outpace previous quarters, growing 130 percent over Q1 of 2003. The combined sales growth to existing customers as well as to new customers continues to demonstrate the company's ability to increase its market presence.
"Our customers and partners continue to tell us what they need in a systems management solution, and we continue to listen and deliver a solution that meets and even exceeds their expectations," said Joe Wang, president and chief executive officer of LANDesk Software. "The results from our first quarter are also a reflection of the market conditions and requirements which demand an integrated solution that addresses a variety of IT issues such as patch management, license compliance, software distribution and more."
The company's positive momentum was also demonstrated in several awards it received for its products and business initiatives. The company's channel program received a five-star rating-the highest rating possible - from VARBusiness magazine. LANDesk® Management Suite was selected as a finalist for CMP Media Inc.'s Network Computing magazine 2004 Well-Connected Awards.
"Network Computing has acknowledged the best and brightest in the networking and IT worlds for 10 years through its annual Well-Connected Awards," said Mike Lee, editor of Network Computing. "The awards are determined as a result of product testing in the Real-World Labs of Network Computing, located throughout the United States."
