Finmatica SCM announced Release 3.0 of FINeCHAIN, the Extended Supply Chain Management suite that addresses supply chain planning, supplier relationship management and customer order management. Release 3.0 incorporates performance and functional enhancements to the core Collaborative Supply Chain Planning (CSCP) suite and introduces three industry specific vertical solutions.
While FINeCHAIN provides functionality for demand-driven enterprises across industries like CPG, Food & Beverage and Healthcare, the FINeCHAIN Industry Solutions are targeted vertically at the Pharmaceutical & Specialty Chemical industries, Automotive Service Parts aftermarket and complex manufacturing companies in the Aerospace and Defense industries. These dedicated solutions have been formulated based on the extensive domain knowledge Finmatica has gleaned by working with leading companies in these industries over the past decade such as Sanofi-Synthélabo, GlaxoSmithKline, Aventis, Saturn, TRW, Arcelor, EADS and ALSTOM respectively.

Release 3.0: New Features, Performance Enhancements, SAP Integration
Enhancements in the areas of demand planning and forecasting include web based supply chain collaboration for forecasting and planning with customers and suppliers, shelf life and daily forecasting enhancements for the Food & Beverage and CPG markets and improvements to the Vendor Managed Inventory functionality. The release also offers significant performance enhancements over previous versions for key routines with internal tests showing a decrease of more than 50% in processing time for many of these core routines, above all in very large database environments.
In addition to powerful performance, security and administration improvements throughout, new features of the manufacturing planning and production scheduling modules include advanced web-based collaborative event management with input from planners or collaborators, regardless of location; Graphical User Interface improvements and customizations; a Key Performance Indicator dashboard for better monitoring and fast intervention, and enhanced planning & scheduling simulation capabilities with improvements in load levelling engines.

- FINeCHAIN Complex Manufacturing Solution – This Collaborative Manufacturing Planning and Production Scheduling solution provides specific features to manage make-to-order businesses with long cycle times, multiple operations and multiple production hazards. Covering the extended supply chain (internal and external activities like subcontractors or suppliers) from long-term planning to short-term scheduling, it supports multiple collaborative planners and offers a full integration with ERP and MES systems.
