Mobeon to power Spring Mobil’s leap into enterprise sector
~ carrier-class IP messaging technology chosen by Swedish telecoms operator ~
Mobeon, the mobile messaging software provider, has been selected to deliver integrated voicemail and other advanced messaging services to Spring Mobil’s enterprise customer offering.
As Sweden’s fourth GSM licence holder, Spring Mobil is focused on providing total communications solutions to Swedish enterprise customers. It does this by providing each enterprise with its own internal base station and GSM network, so they can function independently.
Mobeon’s technology will form a central part of Spring Mobil’s total mobile messaging offering, which consists of voicemail and other enhanced messaging types. One of the main advantages of Mobeon’s technology is its ability to handle multiple enterprises as groups in one single message store, therefore lowering operational outlay and saving costs.
Other key benefits of the fully-open IP solution are its flexibility and scalability allowing Spring Mobil to expand and launch new messaging services incrementally.
Recent research from industry analysts, Frost and Sullivan, predicts that subscriber growth rates for IP-based voicemail and enhanced messaging are likely to improve significantly between now and 2008. In fact, IP-based voicemail is expected to account for 93% of shipments from vendors over
that period.
"The Mobeon solution is extremely cost-efficient compared to other suppliers, as its IP architecture significantly reduces operation and support costs," said Ulf Groth, CEO of Spring Mobil.
"Helping operators penetrate the lucrative enterprise segment is one of Mobeon’s core focus areas. We are pleased to secure this contract as it validates our leadership position within this growth segment," said Ulf Avrin, CEO of Mobeon.
