Ibas and Tandberg Data have signed a global agreement in which data recovery services from Ibas will now be included as an value added service to Tandberg Data’s customers worldwide. In return, Tandberg Data will actively market Ibas’ services through its global marketing network. Tandberg Data’s customers will be given highest priority in case of loss of data, and already this year about 200.000 storage medias from Tandberg Data will be linked to Ibas’ services.
The background for the agreement is Tandberg Data’s interest in being able to offer their customers an optimal solution in case of a critical computer failure. Electronically stored data is critical for most businesses, and in certain situations data recovery may be the only alternative to bankruptcy. Yet there are still many business managers who do not know what possibilities exist when it comes to data recovery, and it is important for Ibas to spread this important information through new marketing channels. The agreement, which recently came into effect, will ensure that information about Ibas’s services will accompany all storage media sold by Tandberg Data around the world.
